We are working with a welcoming and supportive school in Northampton seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide behaviour support starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require extra guidance and a positive role model in their daily school life. The role is long-term and full-time, ideal for someone with a passion for helping children thrive both academically and socially.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting students with behavioural needs in and out of the classroom
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement behaviour strategies
Building positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress
Managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
What we're looking for:
Previous experience supporting children with behavioural or special educational needs
Calm, resilient, and patient with strong behaviour management skills
A genuine passion for supporting children's emotional and social development
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
A flexible and proactive attitude with excellent communication skills
